Is The Fisher-Price Imaginext Space Shuttle and Tower Worth Buying?
If your child loves all things related to space, then there’s no doubt that their eyes will light up the minute they see this. The toy comes with lots of details, including refueling tubes, a crane that helps the shuttle to dock, a lift, a cockpit that opens and closes as well as shuttle doors. There are also plenty of lights and realistic sounds that make it even more exciting.
The set comes with two little spacemen, two space suits for them to wear, a ray gun, an alien and a satellite dish. All of the components are made with durable plastic and are well built, ensuring that rough play won’t lead to any breakages.
This toy is very interactive. The number of moving parts such as the lift and crane, as well as the lights and the numerous sound effects, make it great fun for young kids to play with. The design also simulates many aspects of a real space shuttle and launch pad, prompting questions and possibly even inspiring kids to take a greater interest in the real thing.
Another advantage of this toy is its size. Being fairly large it makes an ideal toy for more than one child to play with. If you have two or more young children, then this would make a great joint present. The size also makes it more impressive to young children, helping to keep their attention for longer.
One small downside is that the sound effects are pretty loud. Whilst not exactly deafening, they can be intrusive. If your children like to play in the living room while you’re busy in there with something else, then prepare for the occasional period of interruption!
Another minor downside of this product is that it only comes with 3 figures. Considering the size of the shuttle and launch pad, you might expect to have a few more figures to interact with it. Still, this problem can easily be resolved if your child already has other action toys that it can mix up with this set.
Other than that, there is very little about the Imaginext Space Shuttle to criticize. A minority of buyers report a small problem with the shuttle doors staying closed, but in the vast majority of cases these work just fine.
On the whole then, the Imaginext Space Shuttle is a great toy, well-made and really entertaining. The fact that it will also keep multiple kids occupied at once is an added bonus! Without a doubt, this is another great Fisher-Price product well worth buying.

My son got this for his 4th birthday and absolutely loves it. He picked it out himself. It lights up like a real space ship would, it has realistic sounds when it’s docking or taking off. It is very durable and just a wonderful addition to any imaginext set. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys playing with the Imaginext toys. We have so many Imaginext items and they are all built so well. They even have some girly Imaginext-like people by Fisher Price now.

My 3yo received this for his birthday and it’s growing to be one of his favorites. It really opens the doors for creativity vs. some of these plastic toys that just make noise. We purchased it along with the accessories and it’s hours of fun.
